“Dimitrie Gusti” National Village Museum is one of the largest open-air ethnographic museums in Europe, showcasing traditional Romanian village life. The museum extends to over 100,000 m2, and contains 272 authentic peasant farms and houses from all over Romania.
The Museum of the Romanian Peasant is a museum with a collection of textiles (especially costumes), icons, ceramics, and other artifacts of Romanian peasant life. One of Europe’s leading museums of popular arts and traditions, it was designated “European Museum of the Year” for 1996.
The Museums are located at 20 minutes distance by car from Hotel Royal Bucharest.
An alternate route is by metro. From Unirii Metro Station to Victoriei Metro Station.
